COSMEDIX Opti Crystal
Use morning and evening after cleansing and applying facial serums.
Dispense a pin-sized amount onto the ring finger. Gently pat around the orbital bone, taking care not to tug or pull the delicate skin.
Avoid applying too close to the lash line or directly onto the eyelids unless advised otherwise by a qualified skin professional.
If applying eye makeup or concealer, allow Opti Crystal to absorb for approximately 5–10 minutes before continuing.
Only a very small amount is required. Applying too much may cause the formula to migrate or affect makeup application.
COSMEDIX Lumi Crystal
Apply a thin layer directly to clean lips throughout the day as required.
Wear alone for a prismatic, high-shine finish or layer over lip liner or lipstick.
For an intensive overnight treatment, apply a slightly thicker layer before bed.

Liquid Crystal Technology and Moisture Retention
Liquid crystals are ordered lipid structures that share characteristics with both liquids and solid crystalline materials. In topical skincare, liquid-crystalline systems can help organise lipids and water within a formula while forming a moisture-supporting layer over the skin.
The cholesteryl compounds used in Opti Crystal and Lumi Crystal create the formulas’ distinctive texture, luminosity and moisture-sealing properties. These effects can temporarily improve the visible smoothness and plumpness of dehydrated skin.
COSMEDIX describes the technology as biomimetic because its organised lipid structure is inspired by the skin’s natural lipid environment. This does not mean the formulas permanently replace or reconstruct the skin’s biological barrier.
Spin Trap Antioxidant Technology
Spin Trap is COSMEDIX’s name for Phenyl T-Butylnitrone, an antioxidant compound that can trap unstable free-radical species.
Laboratory research supports its free-radical-trapping activity. However, independently published human clinical data establishing specific reductions in under-eye wrinkles, dark circles or lip ageing from these finished products are limited.
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 is a synthetic signal peptide used in skincare and lip treatments to support the visible appearance of firmness, smoothness and volume.
Ingredient-supplier studies have reported improvements in the appearance of wrinkles and lip contour with Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38-containing formulas. These findings cannot be directly applied to Lumi Crystal without knowing the final concentration, study design and contribution of the complete formula.
The visibly fuller appearance created by Lumi Crystal is cosmetic and hydration-related. It does not reproduce the structural changes associated with injectable lip treatments.
Ceramide NP and Lip Barrier Support
Ceramide NP resembles ceramides naturally found within the skin barrier. Topical ceramide-containing formulas can help reduce moisture loss and improve the comfort and visible smoothness of dry skin.
Within Lumi Crystal, Ceramide NP works alongside cholesteryl lipids, emollients and humectants to support softer, more conditioned lips.
