Apply two pumps to the face morning and evening, or follow the application schedule provided by your treating practitioner.

For pre-treatment preparation, apply after cleansing and before moisturiser. Begin using the product according to the timeframe recommended by your clinic.

Following a cosmetic procedure, only recommence application when directed by the treating practitioner. Procedures vary considerably, and products suitable after one treatment may not be appropriate immediately after another.

Do not apply directly to open, actively bleeding or weeping skin unless specifically instructed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

During the day, finish with a separate broad-spectrum SPF50+ sunscreen once sunscreen application has been approved by your practitioner.

TriHex Technology®

Alastin’s proprietary peptide technology combines Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12. It is designed to support a more youthful-looking extracellular matrix and improve the visible appearance of skin affected by collagen and elastin depletion.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1

Fractionated CO₂ Laser Resurfacing Study

A randomised, single-blinded study evaluated a tripeptide and hexapeptide topical system in 15 women aged 45–70 undergoing fractionated CO₂ laser resurfacing.

Ten participants used the peptide-based system and five used a bland dimethicone ointment and petrolatum-based cream. Products were used from three weeks before the procedure until 12 weeks afterwards.

The researchers reported that the peptide-based regimen was well tolerated and supported post-procedure recovery and cosmetic outcomes. However, this was a small study evaluating a complete skincare system rather than Skin Nectar as an individual product.

Fractional Non-Ablative Laser Study

A randomised split-face and décolletage study compared an Alastin procedure-enhancement system with a bland skincare regimen following fractional non-ablative laser resurfacing.

The authors concluded that the procedure-enhancement system appeared to improve post-treatment recovery compared with standard care. The regimen included multiple Alastin products, so the findings cannot be attributed exclusively to Skin Nectar.

Radiofrequency Microneedling Research

A 2021 study compared a TriHex-containing procedure-enhancement system with a standard antioxidant regimen across three monthly radiofrequency microneedling treatments.

Blinded photographic assessment found significantly less post-treatment redness with the procedure-enhancement system in both crossover and split-face comparisons. Participants also expressed a preference for the TriHex regimen.

Reported adverse effects included expected temporary redness, swelling, burning and stinging. Acneiform eruptions occurred with both regimens, and one participant using the procedure-enhancement system experienced mild dermatitis.

The study investigated a multi-product system rather than Skin Nectar alone, so the individual contribution of this serum cannot be isolated.
