Use each morning on clean, dry skin.

Apply four to five drops over the face, neck and décolletage. The serum may also be applied to the backs of the hands.

Allow the serum to absorb before applying corrective serums, moisturiser and broad-spectrum SPF50+ sunscreen.

Once absorbed, the antioxidant formula remains active within the skin and cannot be washed or rubbed away.

Use the opened bottle within three months for optimal freshness. Natural darkening may occur following exposure to air and light.

10% L-Ascorbic Acid

The pure, biologically active form of vitamin C. It provides antioxidant protection while supporting visible brightness, skin tone, fine lines and firmness.

2% Phloretin

A plant-derived antioxidant that helps neutralise damaging free radicals and improve the appearance of discolouration and uneven tone.

0.5% Ferulic Acid

A plant-derived antioxidant that helps stabilise the formula and enhances the antioxidant performance of L-ascorbic acid and phloretin.

Triethyl Citrate

Supports formula stability and delivery within the lightweight serum base.

Clinical Information

In a 12-week, investigator-graded clinical study involving 64 women aged 25–60 with Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI, Phloretin CF was applied every morning with sunscreen and moisturiser as required.

After 12 weeks, average results included:

20% improvement in the appearance of even skin tone
27% increase in skin radiance
16% reduction in visible discolouration

SkinCeuticals also reports that once the formula has absorbed, its antioxidant activity remains effective within the skin for a minimum of 72 hours.

A separate 24-week, multicentre controlled study evaluated Phloretin CF in 55 women aged 35–65 with mild-to-moderate photodamage. The formula was applied daily to the face, neck, chest and backs of the hands. Instrumental assessment demonstrated increased skin brightness and reduced pigmentation during the study, and the formula was reported as well tolerated.
